it was hot the other evening so I went to cool off in the garden
the light was on outside the shed
and I saw my garden illuminated in a whole new way
Me and the Mister packed up the car and headed to Savona for the weekend to visit family. Family I didn't grow up with, but am now getting to know better with each visit.
I didn't get a lot of photos of the humans. I think I was just too busy taking it all in as it turned out to be pretty overwhelming - but the dogs... I got lots of photos of the dogs.
Lucky for me, these incredibly warm and welcoming people are now a part of my life, so there's lots of time for more photo ops.
Karaoke and (low) cliff diving next time for sure.
It was a day full of stuff... going here, going there, going back here, going back there... but then some fun stuff... photos in back alleys, visits with The Monster Sisters in person at their art show, visiting with adorable Janie and then to top it all off, seeing a little dog getting a nice big hug.
This walk was back on Jan 18, but since it's on film, I had to get it developed. Soon I will re-learn how to develop my own negatives since I haven't done it since high school, but in the meantime, I will enjoy the waiting that comes along with these lo-fi photos...
And yes, some may be over exposed, under exposed, extra grainy or blurry, but I kinda love that about using my old manual Minolta and film. I love the happy accidents and the outtakes - the ones that turn out and the ones the turn out a little less because beauty and art is in the ey of
