SESSION NOTE ~ I had just found a large mirror on the side of the road and had brought it to my studio and leaned it against the wall. Lunar LOVED it. He was super nervous inside so we would do a few photos then take a break. In between, he kept looking at the mirror. I don't know how much dogs see in mirrors, but whatever it was, Lunar LOVED it.
Of course when we tried to get the photo against the wall, he did it, but you can see how afraid he was.
Lunar's previous life was brutal - and it shows in the top  photo. When asked to do something, like come, or wait - if it's out of what they know as now ordinary - it really throws them and seems to brings out a deep fear. It's truly heartbreaking. I know that Lunar, with all his fears, does relax, get to enjoy time with his dog siblings and has a connection with his gentle human because she lovingly talks to him and about him and he really loves that too.
