Pet Photo Mini Sessions
So many rescues are having a hard time staying afloat these days. Not only are there constant requests to take in animals, there are medical needs - from the basic to the more involved, long term and life saving - to a slowing down of adoptions and burnout by the humans called to do this incredibly important work.
But the 24/7 operations and responsibility of the unwanted, too expensive, no time for, too old, sick, helpless little beings.... who wind up in their care... doesn't stop.
That's why I partner with local pet rescues for my mini sessions... And since 2023, we've raised over $6000!

HOW DO THESE SESSIONS WORK?
These sessions take place in my stand-alone studio on a quiet residential street in the Gorge area of Saanich. We carefully manage arrivals and departures so if your pet is nervous or reactive to other pets, or if you and/or your pet prefer a quieter experience, these are good alternative to the more public sessions.
The session is short (15 mins) so if your dog is extra enthusiastic and is having trouble settling, you may be asked to sit with them!
Within about a week after your session you'll get access to your own preview gallery so you can make your choices. Once you let me know your choice, it takes 3-5 days until you'll get a notification that your final chosen image files are ready for download! YAY!

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
- 15 minutes of studio time in my custom Howl-o-weeny themed, seasonal set
- For ONE DOG sessions, your favourite 3 images
- For TWO DOG sessions, your favourite 5 images
- A private on-line, preview gallery (of about 15 images) from which to choose your favourites depending on whether we did a ONE DOG session or TWO DOG session for you. These preview images will be lo-resolution and sport a watermark.
- Your chosen edited, digital image files included with your session will be suited for sharing online/email and will also sport a special VBS Howl-o-ween logo to help spread the word and show your support of this fundraiser. Printable and non-logo'd versions can be purchased separately after you see your preview gallery... see below for pricing.
- Personal Use License

- Your session payment in full reserves your session date/time
- Once you make your booking, you will receive confirmation of payment and location of session
- There are 3 steps into my studio so if you or your pet will need help managing that, please let us know in advance
- Maximum two human escorts per session (my studio is small!)
- All images are delivered as digital downloads
- Due to the fundraising nature of these sessions, sorry, no refunds

- Additional low-res digital image files (suited for online sharing and email): $5 each, or $50 for your full gallery. These will also include the special Howl-o-ween logo!
- High-res (suitable for print) digital image files: $20 each, or $95 for your full gallery. These will not include any watermarks or logos and will come with a Personal Print License so you can get them printed at a lab - whether local or online - of your choosing.

These are force-free sessions which respect your pet's comfort level.
What pets are welcome?
- These sessions are open to dogs, cats, bunnies, birds and other domestic pets as long as they:
- fit in my studio
- are suited temperament-wise to participate in a relaxed, yet short photo session (i.e. pets that are overly excitable/hard to settle, may find this situation difficult)
- Seasonal costumes are welcome, but always optional and only if your pet is cool with such zany human ideas!
- Yes, you're welcome to join your pet in the session, though we'll expect you to give a good head tilt at the squeaky too!
These are force-free sessions which respect your pet's comfort level.
