MISUBECO Studio is my cottage studio located on a quiet, residential street in Saanich.
A blank canvas ready to act as a photo studio where I can control weather and lighting and set up backdrops and vignettes. For pet photography specifically, the studio is self contained so for dogs (and other animals) who are fearful, nervous or reactive to things in the outside world, it's a quiet and safe spot too. With a nice little patch of lawn outside it can handle the duties for outside portraits or photo session breaks.
It's where I can set up my darkroom in the kitchen and go back to printing in black and white.
Where I keep all of my bits n' pieces, found objects, doll houses and items of inspiration.
Collections.
I can tack up a large piece of paper on the wall and wipe giant swaths of paint on it, putter with drawing, sculpture and other media.
And host a weekly Art Club.
It's also been known to be the site of mini-art shows.
MISUBECO Studio is set up for experimenting, play and collaboration with those who visit.
